Technical Specifications

The specifications for some events and various implements change with the age of the competitor. This allows for the changes in ability as we progress through the age groups. Included in the technical specifications is the order in which events are contested in the multi-event competitions. Steeplechase – WMA will survey all the regions and member federations this year (2023) to see the rate of installation of the new steeplechase barrier height (M35-59 – 0.838m). All countries currently can adhere to the ‘old’ specifications, records will only be endorsed to those until changes are approved by the WMA Council.’
